Who We Are

Community Action for Recovery and Empowerment (CARE) is a nonprofit organization committed to promoting behavioral health, prevention, social stability, and long-term community empowerment through evidence-based programs, education, social services, and collaborative partnerships.

CARE serves individuals, families, and communities particularly those experiencing economic hardship by addressing the interconnected factors that influence wellness, opportunity, and quality of life. Our work spans prevention and behavioral health, social services, housing stability, education, youth development, and empowerment initiatives, allowing us to respond holistically to community needs.

CARE integrates prevention, social services, housing stability, education, and empowerment initiatives to reduce risk, strengthen protective factors, and build pathways toward self-sufficiency and resilience. We work across schools, housing communities, faith-based institutions, and neighborhood settings to support safe, stable, and thriving communities.

Our approach is grounded in equity, cultural responsiveness, evidence-based practice, and community collaboration, ensuring that our programs remain adaptable, accountable, and responsive to emerging challenges and opportunities.
